Taylor, Edward. "Huswifery".
Summary and Analysis
A devotional poem. "Huswifery" is "housekeeping", here specifically weaving.
The speaker addresses Lord and asks him to turn him into his spinning wheel. The speaker matches the parts of the spinning wheel to his affections, soul, and conversation. Then he pleads Lord to do the work himself and to produce a cloth according to his taste. He wishes so to fill his ways with glory and so to glorify Lord.
