Butlin, Ron. "Vivaldi Learns a New Skill".
Notes
- playful magic realism
- set in Venice where the composer Vivaldi is always late for rehearsals and there is rumour about the now old man and the two sisters who care for him
- the young girl Bianca teaches him how to walk upon water by telling him to focus his anger on something which will make him fly forward upon the water surface
- Vivaldi learns that Stravinsky dismissed his 500 concertos as the same concerto 500 times and this becomes the effective focus for his anger
