- a page of scattered letters is concluded by the full line saying "i am the resurrection and the life"

- the scattered letters are seemingly arbitrarily taken from the concluding line to be placed in the middle of heavy omissions

- the letters of all the other individual lines must be put together across the gaps to create words

- throughout the poem the message is not quite "clear"

- a puzzle to the reader, a challenge to find out what the poem says
